Had a major rain storm here in Phoenix and found a flooded passenger side floor.
Rained so hard that the water over burdened the sunroof drain.
We had so much water running down the street that I couldn't even get to my car.

I took a couple of hours and changed the LCA’s rear bushings.

Those bushings are so much fun, I think I’ll work on them again today!!
Last night , Sweetie and I decided to take her Mom out for a drive and get some ice cream. The right front LCA's rear bushing decided to pop loose the hole in the lower control arm seems to be larger and the bushings not as tight as the left front arm, thankfully, I have another set of LCA’s and I’ll be measuring the outside diameter of the AC Delco FE 5 solid bushings , a set of Moog K201285 and K200792 bushings I have here. I’m just having my morning coffee, so stay tuned!

How many times has the bushing been changed in that arm? Maybe the hole is just worn out.

So, I go out this morning to see if I can repair enough wires to get the HHR to the shop. After being out there for about a minute I'm thinking "Why am I smelling fuel?"... Somewhat major fuel leak in the nylon line. Guess it's going to the shop on the back of a tow truck.

One can only hope that stupid squirrel got a mouthful of gasoline...

You are correct, the hole in that arm was 2.365 inches, the FE5, FE1/3, the Moog K200792 and K201285 bushings all measure 2.357 inches
The replacement right side lca the hole measured 2.355. I believe that’s the problem!
The new bushing I installed yesterday fell out of the lca, and I had to press it into the new lca.
Thankfully there was no damage done to the new bushing.
Subsequently, there is still a clicking noise up front, I have changed the brake pads, brake anchor pins, sway bar end links and both cv axles and so that leaves bearing hubs! They’ll be here Tuesday.
I also change the oil and filter and lubed the ball joints, and swaybar end links.

Good luck finding that LundŽ Framed perimeter, they were obsolete when I bought the one I had well over 11 yrs ago.

My Panel got hooked to the battery MINDer, till later this week. Rainy, Mopars are good for that.

The "Tow Truck Guy" showed up to take the HHR to the shop.... with a flatbed trailer behind a pickup truck... and 5 guys inside instead of a winch. Rural Ohio is interesting to say the least.

I hope the rear gate isn't all pushed in and dented. I told the guys about thin metal and all... Not sure how well that was comprehended.

I also noticed when I turned on the key to get it into neutral that what was a full tank of gas is now empty.... All that 93 octane soaked into my driveway.
