The "Tow Truck Guy" showed up to take the HHR to the shop.... with a flatbed trailer behind a pickup truck... and 5 guys inside instead of a winch. Rural Ohio is interesting to say the least.
I hope the rear gate isn't all pushed in and dented. I told the guys about thin metal and all... Not sure how well that was comprehended.
Apparently comprehension is not one of their strong suits... Lift gate is totally punched in on the driver's side. Guy that did it told the shop he will "come down there and pop that right out". It's creased at the belt line, nobody is going to "pop that right out" without it showing.
The shop may have a line on a black lift gate, but they don't know if it's the same black.
Besides all this I still have chewed wires and a leaking fuel system. Quite frankly, I don't need this.
Today we went out to the country for some fresh off the tree peaches, pears and apricots. When we returned home the hubs are here from RockAuto, a day early! But it’s in the mid 80’s out there and with the humidity it’s hard to breathe, so I will tackle them tomorrow morning.
Not today but since it’s been a while I’ll post an update.
2008 2LT with LE5 (2.4l) I added nitrous, M62 supercharger and intake manifold off of a LSJ (2.0l supercharged cobalt/ Saturn)
threw on a stage 3 heat exchanger, put in 80# injectors, whiteline rear sway bar, coilovers, SS front bumper to protect the exposed heat exchanger, chopped my grill and all sorts of fun stuff.

Greybeard- What a bummer, sorry to hear. hope they are competent enough to fix the damage they caused.

The shop is good. The shop owner took a photo, first thing. I've been going to this shop for 8 years, I'm one of their "good customers"... How it's all going to work out, I don't know, but they will work it out.
Z32RB, very cool set up, is the air box just sitting on the valve cover? I see the MAF sensor isn’t connected at the box, but there is another MAF in the black tube from the blower, perhaps this was a work in progress photo.
Told , I venture out to the driveway again to install the new hubs, and a new crankshaft/ harmonic balancer front cover seal. With a heat warning in effect, I don’t think I will do both hubs today.

The first MAF is just a plug. I ended up cutting the LSJ cobalt intake, air box is a K&N intake kit and is bolted onto the valve cover. Work in progress photo indeed it always is a work in progress. Thinking of running new intake tubing and removing the box.
