still pretty darn nice out here in NW Ohio so i spent some time pulling my "do it yourself" Panel kit for my SS conversion . . . (the silver car i got these from was listed as an organ donor in the event of any untimely demise)
I want to do that but just make an AA5 from my SS.
As I read your post I knew that would happen. Rinse it with distilled water before drying next time. A little dishwasher rinse aid might work too. You could try to rinse out those drip marks and dry it again. Might take a little vinegar or something.
Awww man, I already put it back together. It will probably bug me so I'll probably take it back out since it isn't too hard and do like you suggest. I also scratched the lens a bit because I laid it down on my bench when cleaning it so I'll have to polish it again too.
I should have posted the problem before I started - this forum has all the good answers! Thanks!
Gave the BlackSwan a bath and interior detail. Drive to do a few errands around town, comfortable and quiet! The new suspension is really working awesome.

Morning all,
Going to visit my grandsons and HHR today :)
Had the Cooper Snow tires installed a couple days ago and the oi/filter changed. Dexos Full synthetic ! Yea overkill but I like synthetic oil in my car, truck and motorcycles , Make me feel good lol
I will get my HHR back in a week from my son as the finally got a replacement car ! :) I miss that car lol ,
The car they are getting is a Toyota New RAV 4 Hybrid . A very sharp car,
And as soon as I get the HHR back it is off to the shop to get KROWN spray.
The shop that did my truck did a very nice job and washed my truck after the spraying. Never had the HHR done but still rust free form what I can see and figure the KROWN will not hurt !
Soon my HHR will be home and I will finally have hearing aids . Too many years in a engine room help me loose 50& of my hearing :O
My buddy told me I will hear everything when I get them , even when a mouse farts lol
one of the local vanner guys actually posted this in his instagram stories, he spotted it in a parking lot... seems strange to me, to do so much work to shave the liftgate and french in the taillights... but not do anything else to the car, the front end was stock (except for a bad rattle-can painted grille) and I would have sunk the licenses plate into the bumper instead of just bolting it on... the taillights are cool thou?
Tail lights are nice, licence plate and backup lights wire exposed , not so good, the tailgate seems to have lost the belt line crease just above where the beauty bar and bow tie would be . An A for effort, more work then again, it’s part of the custom thing.
Today it’s snowing ever so lightly but still that stuff. I’ve had 7 visits from neighbours asking for help installing their snow tires and rims, they all laughed when they saw me changing my tires last week.
Worked on my 2008 Imperial Blue. Maybe I should name her "Her Imperial Majesty." "Her Majesty" for short.
Getting a new multi-switch (turn signal) rather than trying to repair was good advice; turned out it had a broken piece of plastic in it, so fiddling with the spring would have been futile. The swap was faster than watching the Youtube.
Replaced the two front speakers with inexpensive 5-1/4" 2-way Kickers. Used a zip cutter to hack the the old speakers away, salvaging adaptors. I used the same tool to make 4 undercuts, snapped the speakers in and used hot glue to seal the air leaks and secure them at the same time. Would have been neater had I known I was going to take pictures. It all got done pretty quickly.
They sound much better that the originals, I think.
Don't think I'll bother with the equally dead back seat speakers, but I could change my mind.

Happy your happy with the speakers and your turn signals function as they should! Awesome. Now put in your favourite CD and cruise!
This afternoon, I had a look at what’s involved in popping the door panels off and lubricating the window tracks and the little rollers , the grease has dried out over the last decade and a squirt in lube just doesn’t get the job done. Next week, I’ll see.
In a past project, I was surprised at how easily those panels came off. This time, I was able to do the front door speakers without fully removing the panel or unplugging anything. The back doors might be a little trickier.
