Switched to premium membership, as what I've learned here during the past few months is easily worth the price of admission.

 

few weeks of back and forth (having to take days off since my Aamco isn't open on the weekends)... and Heathen's got new shift solenoids, a new LF axle seal, and a new trans pan gasket... hopefully that's all I have to do for awhile

I did get to finally look under it, it's very clean, no rust on the fuel lines, so that's one worry off my mind...there was a bit of engine oil, which I found strange, since I've never noticed spots in my driveway before, but I'll have to keep an eye on it

 

So far just cleaned the snow off the HHR :O then headed to my sons later for a cook out, He is grilling steaks and ?

The should be here in a few days,
Now for the temperatures to get way above 30*f so I can install them !
I want temps at least 50* or higher so less chance of cracking any plastic !
Talking to the Crutchfied Rep. He said they are Marine grade so that IMO is a plus for the doors,
And more base to them so will work good with the pillar tweeters !
And I was OK with the OEM so should be fine with these, And if I ever upgrade the radio they will work as well :)

 

Just received notice that the right lower control arm is being shipped. Now I'll have both sides on hand.
Expensive, but worth the peace of mind.

today we toured Niagara on the Lake and south along the Niagara River to Fort Erie, must be spring they were removing the ice boom !

And #4 son grilling steaks tonight + cake lol and hanging with family is pretty cool. And Free food I am all for it lol

Unfortunately, RockAuto still only has the left side, which I bought a couple of months back. RA still doesn't have the right side, so I went to another dealer, Woody Folsom, who sourced a right side CA, but at twice the cost of the left side I bought from RA. Yikes!

It's supposed to be here Friday. Then I'll put both of them on the shelf and forget about them until needed, which hopefully will be a good long while. My HHR now has just over 50,000 miles.
Now that I'm retired, and gas prices are so high, I'm not driving very much these days.

I truly don't understand. When I looked earlier this afternoon - not that long ago - it only showed the left side in stock. Now there's a right side! Odd thing is, I was supposed to receive an email notification from RA when it was back in stock, but that didn't happen.

Changed the oil, filter and DexCool in the SS today.
Also got a new iPhone 13. Would have posted some pictures of the SS but haven't figured out how to download pics to my PC. Weird, the iPhone 13 doesn't have a cord with a USB end.
