Thanks. It's the cheapest, easiest, lowest maintenance custom possible!!! No polish, No wax dirt actually makes it look better!!! My bike gets more attention than the chrome barges and cost less than the chrome on the other
bikes. Literally a few cans of Krylon, a handful of decals and a little cheap and easy fab work.
YW, I would never have guessed your bike was a Beemer :O till I saw the badge ! Very nice.
A local guy years ago had a critch rocket oainted like a P 51

It's a Kawasaki KLR 650. The logos have KLR instead of BMW on them. Back In the 80's Kawasaki slapped a 10gal gas tank on their 600cc dirt bike. The next year BMW showed up with a 600cc Rotax powered copy of the KLR. BMW copied the KLR so the KLR people copied their logo.

LOL AT first I though it was a KLR ! On one of my bike events a group from Canada met us in Upstate NY and 1 guy rode his KLR . A nice bike for sure !
I did not know BMW had a pissing contest w/KLR lol
Thanks for the lesson :)

Well BMW has advanced a bit since the 80's.

Reason: Housekeeping (duplicate posts)
Had to replace my cracked windshield. The big name companies wanted close to $400, I got it done for $200 from a small guy, including a tip for driving way out to where I live.
Been having back problems for the past few weeks, sciatica or something like that, and mainly hurts when I'm sitting down so I figured instead of sitting, I'll go put on my hitch I got from the pick and pull a few weeks ago since I'd be laying down most of the time, right? Definitely a job that's easier for two people but can be done with one with helper buckets, lol. Just make sure you lube up the exhaust hangers before trying to remove them, and make sure you put the bolts in the right hole (that's what SHE said, lol.) because there's actually two rear holes. I widened up the holes on both sides even thought the directions said only needed for passenger side. Would be nice if they included four of those little wire snake cables which would make it a lot easier when lining up the bolts, especially when doing it by yourself, and ramps are pretty much required.
Nice work! I used my HF floor jack on one end and lifted and aligned the other end the threaded one nut on my kit came with those wires for all the bolts , that was for my ‘18 Terrain.
Today a little work on the right rear fender of the BlackSwan, some paint adhesion problems .
As you all know one great feature of the HHR is parking :) And in a crowded very easy ! Now my 4x4 Truck that is a beast lol
Took the HHR shopping and noticed a bulls eye chip in the windshield with a couple small cracks !
Yes I am sure they can inject the resin as it is small, BUT the windshield has been blasted wit sand for years and if sun hit s it right you get a white out !
I am pretty if I use insurance they will do the resin shot only , New windshield about 350$ US. So I am pretty sure I will just cough up the cash !
I am liking the New POLK speakers :) ,
The Bass on them in very mild, Not a deep bass sound ! More treble to them ! ( If I used the right term )
That works for me with my hearing. Higher treble setting I can hear clearer !
I did use the foam cones so maybe w/o them the bass would be deeper !
So it does not bother me but may other's !

That was my first addition to mine. I might have to wire up a 7 pin just for giggles.
