I spent some time looking into the noise from the left front, rocks and debris stuck between the bearing plate and the spring plate. When I disassembled the strut and spring, I noticed the strut piston doesn’t move very fast if you compress it. New struts are on order! .

Added an interior rear hatch release button on the liftgate and a small handle to pull the gate down from inside. This will make it easier to get in and out when I use it for camping

I received the tpms sensors in the mail today not bad, I ordered on April 9th. Pretty quick all the way from China, they’ve cornered the market on these things. I have to wait until after Friday when I get my chemo bag off! Round 3 already. I’m going to wait till the suspension parts arrive.

Today was blood tests in the morning, then we stopped for breakfast, then spent 3 hours renewing our passports, then prescriptions for me, and except for the strut clunk once in awhile a pretty smooth ride!

Today is a day off, so we might just go for a coffee and probably a walk, we’ll see .

suspension parts won’t be here until Thursday, I’ll wait until Saturday or Monday to do that work.

Two years ago, I drove my HHR to work for the last time. Quit my job of 25 years to start our own business. Still own and drive my HHR!
In no particular order:
New windshield (finally)
Replaced all TPMS sensors - failed after only 3 years. Manufacturer told me they should last 10 years but only have 1 yr warranty. Replaced with Dorman lifetime warranty. (RockAuto)
New front brake pads - used AC Delco Professional again as these have very minimal brake dust and they lasted exactly 5 years.
Couple of oil changes (of course)
Installed LED headlight bulbs - started with aftermarket, but they were terrible. The Sylvanias are much brighter!
Had rough idle so replaced the intake solenoid actuator and fixed it right-away. CEL went off after 4 start cycles. Now I see that I have a bit of an oil leak from the exhaust solenoid actuator, so I will get one from RockAuto and replace next week.
Repainted my exhaust black.
