Made it to South Carolina and back. Everything went well. Met a steady stream of traffic coming north on I-95 and I-77. More electric power co. trucks coming north than I could count. And Military Nat Guard trucks.too.
The Panel did real well, but still couldn't average over 26 Mpg. Don't think it was the 80 mph plus most of the time?
Question, has anyone put the early 50's pick-up CHEVROLET emblems on the lower back side of the hood? Looks like they need to be curved a wee little bit to fit flush. Don't know if they would snap if I tried to bend them some. ...John

John your mpg could be a dirty air filter, MAF sensor and throttle body, have a peek at the timing chain too.

Today nothing with my HHR it’s parked back at home , Sweetie and I drove to Orleans on Cape Cod for our 20th annual trip! The Terrain dipped down 27 gallons over 3 fuel stops. We drove 12 hours just around 560 miles or 900 klm.
I’m kinda concerned as we hit a deer carcass, it was already dead, I had nowhere to go with a 18 wheeler beside us on the right.

Did the Tail?

26 mpg is great at 80+, especially with HHR’s suboptimal aerodynamics.

We are back home, the underside of the Terrain washed up good, no damage. I changed the oil and filter. Then washed both the Terrain and the BlackSwan, today we are going for a drive in the country, a walk then a coffee.
Gotta get back to the 12,000 steps a day , just no beaches!

Way to go Old Blue!!!!! I picked up a digital copy of The General Motors 06-11 HHR Manual on Etsy. It has been scanned into PDF for all the finer points.
