What? The funky shift thingy? No, and it's not normal for the tune either...... Something's not quite right and it will be fixed after Vince gets the data logs. Problem is it's happening well above the speed limit. (something you seem to not have much regard for )

Aside from firming up the shifts Greybeard, did the shift points change? Maybe its taking time for the ECM to learn the new shift points and that's giving you the funky shifting.

It's a custom tune, I got the shifts firmed up and shift points changed among other requests. This is a problem going into OD at wide open throttle, as far as I can tell, though I swear it did it once going into 3rd. (maybe???) It could be I asked Vince to try something he hasn't dealt with before. Or, more likely, I didn't ask right and it was misunderstood. That's why there's 7 days to do some data logging and get them back to him.... to fix problems like these.

It'll work out..... can't wait to get the Euromax back on..... those wheels are considerably lighter in weight than the factory mags. That makes a huge difference in performance on this car.

138000 miles so redid al the brakes and put new KYB's all around. Cept for a little leak i keep having to fix it has been a real winner.

Hmmm. That trifecta sounds more appetizing every time I hear about it.

I wonder if its locking and unlocking the torque converter when it shouldn't Greybeard. The converter lockup is controlled by the ECM and maybe one of the parameters in the tune is off a bit, interested to see what the data logging turns up. I know that the Trifecta tune has tons of fans here, but I always get nervous when software parameters are changed. I'm old fashioned at times, tuning with a computer mouse seems alien to me, just like rejetting a carb is alien to most of the under 30's here.

That's what it feels like to me is torque converter "trying" to lockup.....

While I agree to some extent about "tuning via computer mouse" I also used to be a computer tech long ago and still dabble as a hobby. I know how much good a BIOS flash can do for performance..... I also know that sinking feeling when a flash goes horribly wrong.

I also remember the old days of hours spent trying to dial in a Holly carb, points ignition and manually setting camshaft timing...... Just to get things close. There would be no way to get the kind of horsepower per cubic inch we make now while retaining daily driver ability with those methods. My 225 slant six that made more power than many V8's was barely a "daily driver"......

Well I pulled the front calipers, smoothed off all of the 'texture' and casting marks and painted them bright red.
Very smooth finish. The look very nice peeking between the spokes of my "new-to-me" solstice wheels that I picked up from board member B@WORK.
