What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
but the cost difference between E85 and 87 is not enough to warrant using it.. Less MPG and less$ to me doesn't equate out to using it. you get better fuel MPG and longer lasting tanks of fuel with 87..
That's what I hear but that under $3 price was too tempting. I'm going to keep careful watch on exactly how the mileage is impacted and then do the math. As the variance in overall fuel economy is so great depending on the driver and exact car I think it's better to do my own test and get the real number for my vehicle to see if its a value, a loss or a wash. Plus it gives me something to watch over for a little while.
Backstory - I had the AC charged on warranty last year at the stealership.
Dumbo bent the filler valve pin, no wonder it leaked.
<--this is their "mechanic"
A few weeks ago - Had my mechanic fix & charge the AC system now it blows full blast at 48° F
Today - Washed & dried HHR then hid her in the garage.
Tomorrow - going bridging in NH White Mountains area on a hot, sunny day

'09 & later are Flex-fuel rides..They also have Bright Yellow Gas Caps to make one aware of the diff..& thus the ability to use either..
I am aware of this, however, I have also done the math as if mine WERE able to and the cost differences to mpg losses are not worth it at least imho.
I tried E85 in my 2011 2 tanks and the MPG sucks really bad on it ! I lost about 20 to 22% in mpg it has to be really really cheap to make up for that much IMHO ! But I didn't notice ANY performance diffrence in my 2.2 ...
Back on topic mine stayed parked all day . But it a get a wash and wax in the morning .
