The short bus was parked when the wieners wanted to get it on the swimming action.

Look in my gallery for a few more pics.

My Dad actually had a couple of those hot wire cutters, he took a class on model railroads and bought them.

They work good, as you say, But, the trouble with the blue or pink insulating foams is they Dent. Great for Halloween props.

Think about it, the first time someone gets in the car and notices it up there, the First thing they are gonna do, even before you can say DON'T TOUCH! is Poke it with their finger. Leaving a dent.

The stuff I bought is from a automotive trim shop wholesale supplier so it's made for custom auto interior work. It bounces back, no dimples or dents.

The white foam board I tried at first, reminded me of the denting problem while cutting it out and my own fingers leaving dimples.

I wanted to do this Skeleton.

But you gotta remember you are wrapping cloth over your object so all Details are lost. Unless you wrap it, then airbrush it all in afterwards.
I found this on the web doing a Google image search, it would have been pretty cool, but funds are getting low to hire it out.

So thats why the Spider, easier (I Hope) to do overall. And this is my first time trying an embossed headliner.

Now I am trying to decide where to place it???

I still have to cut out another Spider in the thinner foam, same stuff just thinner, and use it in pieces glued on top of this spider to add in some details , that will add some depth to it and seperate the body parts some.

Notice my new front dome light is in and wired as well.
As far as placement goes I'd use either the first or second pic. . )

Today, my HHR got a bath, and polished up a little. Didn't have a lot of time, but she still looks pretty nice.

Also, installed some floorboard lighting, but can't get a good pic of it. I wired it to the cigarette lighter in the waterfall with an on/off toggle switch that is hidden for now, getting a better switch soon and mounting it down by the drivers knee.

Tore all my interior door panels off today and added audio barrier to the inside metal door skins.

BIG Difference in the doors sound with it in them.

Very pleased.

Cool, how about some 'frenched-in' 59 caddy tail lites while you're dug in there..

Too many projects at home, time and money seem to keep scaling things back from wild to mild. I'm ready to see this thing off the driveway and back on the road.
