Cool.

As you already know, Panels Rule! And are Very Cool.

After a little over 1 year of owning mine, I still look at and Smile knowing it's Mine. I just think the Panel is very cool. I grew up when 2 doors were COOL Not 4 doors.

A kid with a 4 door, got mom and dads car, totally Uncool.

You had to have a 2 door, to be cool, and fixing up a 4 door was unheard of.

I like how the Panel Hides the rear doors giving it the look of a 2 door.

I get the best of both with the rear seat added.
Dad (me) got his Cool car and can haul a few kids around when needed.

I'll have the Power it lacks once the Blower is installed.

Despite the heat (only 110 degrees) in the garage this morning, before noon, I used two old axle straps to make a V-shaped tow strap. I attached them to the front bumper (without having to remove the cover) via grade 8 hardware and they reside under the radiator until pulled out for (possible) use. Unless you look for them, you won't know that they're there. I've been mulling over doing this for awhile, ever since I saw a HHR being towed by the control arms - with damage being done to the lower valance. My V-strap comes out from under the the bumper without touching the lower valance. I sort of tested it by hooking it to my 2500HD and pulled it uphill 30 feet. Not up to show car standards, but gudenuff to work. I've been a bit paranoid since my last blowout!!

Took the Paddy-Wagon out for assorted stuff today, errands and political things, followed by lunch with an old friend. Stopped for some ethanol free gas on the way home, then turned over 66,000 miles just as I pulled into the complex, a non-exciting day if there ever was one.

De-sticker'd the front Grille of the "CHEVROLET", de-badged of the "HHR" "GM" and "Special Edition" stick ons. Will finish tomorrow in the day light.. Topped off Stiglitz, readied for another trip to MI. I don't know if he's more excited or me, for my birthday weekend. Never know what it could hold.

Also removed the warning lights for the time being..

Ordered a full set of R1 slotted rotors (I know, I know HyperV6 will dissaprove of the slots in the rotors lol) and Hawk HPS pads for the Red Hearse last night. Today, just got off the phone with my favy Chevrolet Dealer (McDermott Chevrolet in East Haven, CT) and ordered the passenger side fender liner and associated doo dads. To my shock, everything's in stock! Going after work to pick everything up, and get on replacing the damaged goods tomorrow after I get home from work. Sometime today I'll also talk to the folks at Forgestar about a new set of shoes too.

Later
Allex

I'll tale all those badges if your gonna toss them.

I'll add them to my tool boxes, if you don't want them.
