i drove my HHR to a local salvage yard today in search of extra parts. Turns out that they didn't have any, so I have to continue my search elsewhere. Car-part.com has a few listed a little further off that I can go check out, but those were all closed today.

What did I do to my HHR today? I abused the daylights out of it by driving on the streets in town! I knew there was a reason I don't go in town much; potholes, uneven roadway, uneven utility patches - everything to remind me to get the sway bar bushings replaced - SOON!

Spent the morning doing things at the Susan G. Komen Race for The Cure in Charlotte, froze our butts off, the heater in the SS struggled mightily against the 40 degree weather with the top down.

Then after an afternoon spent recovering and warming back up, we took the Spousemobile over to a local steakhouse for some chow. Michelle managed to snarf down a 22 ounce rib eye with no problems, something about running a 5K this morning.

Just turned 24,000 miles.

Won HHR of the Month, October 2011 against two other HHR's, had all three body styles represented, Black Windowed, White AA5 Half Panel, and my Black Panel. On another forum.

Theres something about a Black car harder to keep clean but worth it, that black panel should win every car show.
