Installed new rear wheel cylinders on the Spousemobile and flushed the brakes, Michelle says that after acting as my "official brake bleeding assistant first class", I can spend as much as I like on a new brake bleeding gadget...yay!

Since the beasty needed a road test after all the fun and tinkering today we used it to go see Weird Al Yankovic tonight in Charlotte.....great show, ears are ringing a bit, but you gotta love a good accordion solo.

Yeah she is, got a bit grumpy by the time we were done, but honestly I don't blame her. I've been the "pedal pusher and master cylinder topper offer" more than a few times over the years and it just ain't much fun.

You know, from looking at the shoes I'd have to say I'm the first person to ever adjust those brakes, there's at least 80% of the friction material left at 108,000 miles. It was just happenstance that I caught the leaking wheel cylinder today, hadn't planned on popping off the drums but I got curious. Its just one of those deals, no drama for me, stuff like that doesn't even bother me...just fix the problem and move on instead of 47 posts grousing about it.

Painted my primed Spoiler & Wing King Spoiler. Couldn't afford the extra $40 for the painted one. Paint only cost me $3.00 (Can of Black & can of Clear) because Pep Boys sent me $10for my B-Day (10/9). Will let it dry for 24 hours before I put it on.

Just changed the engine air filter. I don't see why everyone complains about it It's a one beer job. The only thing I could see to make it easier is to turn the clamp on the "wooly worm" upside down so the hex head on it is pointing up. But it has a notch in it so you can't flip it . No big deal... "I don't see why everyone complains about it It's a one beer job."

I think the majority of the grumbling about the filter comes from those of us who grew up with the luxury of popping the hood, undoing a wing nut, and "hey presto" there's the filter. Then you install the new element, plop the lid back on, polish any fingerprints off the chrome, and stand back to admire that shiny honker of an engine.
