Another non-exciting day really, cranked up Paddington and headed down to the office in Charlotte, managed to get him tucked in the garage just ahead of a thunderstorm tonight. I'm avoiding rain and anything that might dirty one of the critters up until my ribs heal, I feel tons better than I did even on Friday, but it doesn't take much of a wrong move to make me go OUCH!

I left my initial choice of HHR parked this morning when I noticed that the tire shop had mounted the new Continentals "backasswards" on the '11(Boo Boo), oops! Honestly I should have caught this before today, but in my defense, I felt awful last week and I didn't look too closely when Michelle came back from getting them mounted...so its a case of "stupid me, stupid them".

Off topic for a bit: My parents made it safely home after picking through debris clogged roads on the island where they live. The house sustained some moderate damage but its not as bad as it was chewed up by the hurricane in '03. Right now they are on generator power with a good chance of proper service being restored tomorrow. Now its time to commence the repairs just like so many up and down the east coast.

We had this band of stuff come down from Indiana and Ohio, it didn't do too much here except for two cells that hung around for a bit, but now the folks in Raleigh and points east are getting hammered...just what they didn't need after this weekend.

Usually we get it after y'all do sleeper, but not lately. Its been a real strange and deadly year for weather.

OK, new Continentals take 2. Just waiting for them to finish balancing my wheels after turning the new tires around so they are on the rims in the proper orientation, then its time to try 'em out.

I'm not sure who is feeling more sheepish and dumb about the tires being mounted backwards, me or my buddy at the tire shop, we both should have caught the error....oh well.
