Good advice. My wife had a truck back into her Civic and puncture the front bumper, crack the grill and dent the hood. Even though it wasn't our fault, and the driver was charged with a driving foul, we went thru our insurance company to arrange for repair to settle the claim. They tried to convince us to use after market parts. Thankfully we took it to the local Honda shop and they only use OEM parts. Repair done with OEM parts and my concerns about it holding up long term are mimimal.

843de, Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you heal quickly and are out and about zooming around.

So my car got dropped of at Fredrick Chevrolet Body Shop. They are going to hook me up. They will paint my new grille and bumper pad factory black like I had done it, will reuse my old custom black with silver flame grille bowtie, reuse my hood struts with billet covers I bought and reuse the hood strut brackets I had to cut down to get my custom strut brace to fit. They will also fix some of the door dings that were on the undamaged door (just becuase they can). Love those guys at Fredrick Chevy! Sould take 2 weeks and the whole front end will be fresh and almost put back the way I had it.
Oh, yeah, Enterprise was fresh out of HHR's. They said the just sold 5 of them. I got stuck with a Dodge Caliber. Only thing they had that would fit my bass guitar equipment in for our weekend shows.

I'm slightly biased but that's one good looking grille Todd!
