Finished up my aluminum subwoofer enclosure and amp rack that fits in the spare tire area while keeping the tire in place.

Friday after work I formed up the body and welded it together, only after a few test fits and slight notching of things. The extra sump on the box makes room for the large magnet of the 12" speaker as it drops into center of the emergency wheel.

The Left side will suspend both 1000 watt sony amps stacked on countersunk 5/16 studs through the top plate.

One amplifier is powering the subfloor box and the other will power the optional second Big bass box that will ride in the trunk area on trips that the space isn't needed.

All wrapped in Dynamat and amps mounted. In this picture you can also see the second "deep bass" box that will be used as well most of the time in the trunk space. Works perfect to compliment the mid bass coming from the almost too small subfloor enclosure.

The storage area tray fits over and protects everything while running errands.

Replaced drivers side hub bearing, changed oil, adjusted rear brakes and gazed at the rear springs knowing my Colbalt rear springs should arrive very soon.

I am at the shop right now getting my front Windows and eyebrow tinted. Bought a rear wiped blade and a alpine ipod controller while I am here. Guess I will do them later. I am getting the oil changed when i leave here.

Does the IPod controller allow you to control IPod with radio controls and display titles, artists, etc on radio display?

No it has its own screen and runs through the fm but it also has Bluetooth built in with a Mic and I got it for 50 bucks. I do have to install a hidden cigarette plug so I don't use the one in my dash. It is alpine part ex-10.

Thanks for the info, looking for something different like GM PAL. Looking at one for $109.00.

If I remember correctly though the PAL doesn't charge the IPOD which was the reason I didn't pursue finding one.
