Hey betterof2evils4....

Sorry you had the problem. But, MAYBE the dealer, or others who have posted here, gave you good advice. Now understand, I'm not saying the dealer is absolutely correct. But, if you do what is suggested and have no further problems, then maybe it was your fault....and not the vehicles.

You know, "If you play with the devil, you are bound to be burned"......and the way GM designed and configured these cars, they are the devil.

My son had the same draining problem with his stereo system (2000+ watts), He eventually had to get a second battery...No more problems...

UPDATE: After I took it home from the dealer's, the car was running smooth for the first day. No aftermarket stereo equipment was hooked up, no underbody lights, just all factory stuff. On the second day, though, things started to go very berserk. When I try to start my car up it clicks multiple times before starting, my cruise control now will not turn on half the time, and when it does it only stays on for 2 seconds and then turns off on its own. I was sitting in a drive-thru at a restaurant a few days ago, car in D, foot on the brake, and the car unlocked itself, and then locked itself back. My car flashes the "Power Steering" warning in the DIC sometimes, but it is never constantly on. The little light showing the lock in the lower left hand corner of the gauge cluster shows sometimes as well.
So yea... It probably was my stereo equipment that ran the battery down, but could it have caused all this?? I'm going to take it to a different dealer now that all the aftermarket stuff is off of the car and see what is wrong with my car.

Probably a combination of an f'd up BCM and wiring harness. You gotta be careful with these new cars. My '02 Blazer was absolutely fubar electrically after I had a remote-starter installed aftermarket.
