I gave up a 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z71 4X4 fully loaded. It was difficult at first but the gas mileage quickly cured any blues. We just got back from vacation on which we trailered our Can-Am Spyder from the SF Bay Area to Flagstaff, AZ and back. We averaged better fuel economy towing 1000 pounds than the Avalanche did towing nothing and that included mountains!

Needless to say it was a good move.

My first post here, Friday I just traded in my 2003 Silverado, it was just a regular cab with a six cylinder that averaged about 16-17 mpg, I do construction and drive to the job anywhere from 40 to 120 miles round trip depending where the job is.

I purchased a rental return 2007 LT2 Sandstone Metallic

YES Thats the way to do it.

I only gave up a 03 Vibe, but decades ago I had a 67 Corvette that I gave up when I got married. Should have kept it....

I had a 2005 Kia Spectra5 and I liked it but I have liked the HHR since they first came out after I bought the Kia. One nite on the way home from work I decided to play tag with a Jeep Wrangler that was parked in the middle of the road and ended up totalling the Kia. The rental car I got from Enterprise was a HHR so I had the opportunity to fall in love with them so when they decided they were totaling the Kia I decided to get and HHR.

I gave up my '99 Grand Am that I purchased in '00. I had virtually no problems with the car, but with 150,000, I could see problems coming in the next year or so. Love my HHR and its power windows, which the GA was missing!

I wouldn't consider it "giving it up". I got rid of a 2000 Jimmy and got my HHR. That Jimmy was nothing but problems from a week after I got it. I was more than happy to see it go. LOL!

I gave up my 2000 BMW 323i...

known as Dropkick323.

Now I'm DropkickHHR! :)

The last three months I had her, I spent $3K in repairs. Then on Christmas Eve, the Check Engine Light went on, and I went car shopping. I know she's a lot different than my Bimmer, but the HHR had enough style to please me, and the cost savings in gas are making me happy right now with regular at $4.
