What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?

I gave up my 2004 Pontiac GTO. It was black with red interior and a 6-speed. I needed a family car. We had a baby and I needed something to carry a baby seat and all his stuff. I think I made a good choice in getting my 2009 HHR SS. It is an automatic because my wife might need to drive it.
Sometime soon I will get the stage 1 turbo upgrade and make it nearly perfect.

Same here, sold the GTO for the SS. My husband kept his GTO though (04 PBM M6 too lol). I miss mine at times but the lack of a trunk really makes strollers and baby gear dififcult to get around.

307 gears lowest gears jeep offered, 4th and 5th gear werent used at highway speeds because it slowed me down

so I had a 3 speed manual pretty much

it was a brick on wheels

the only way I could afford it was driving to work less than a mile away lol

Ouch! Stock Jeeps aren't bad though, and I was surprised... My mom bought a 2010 Wrangler and she's getting close to 20mpg average!

Traded my much loved 2003 Deville

Traded a 2003 Deville with 100km. Car was due for new air shocks etc...$$$

I decided that I wanted a small wagon and was considering an Elantra Touring Sport, but decided to checkout the HRR, since my cousin worked at a GM dealer.

Once I discovered how cool the HHR SS was, i was hooked and lost all objectivity. I should have bought a LT but the kid in me kept saying get the SS SS SS.

Had to pay extra to get the last Silver one in Canada shipped east from Ontario!

This car puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it.

2000 Chevy Astro.

The Same Dealer is now selling it.

First they offered me $2000.00 for trade in, I told them NO.

They came back and offered me $4000.00 I took it.
I only paid $5000.00 for it 5 years ago at a Dealer with 52,000 miles on it. Traded it in with 98,000 miles.

Now they are asking $5,994.00 for it.

See, DON'T let dealers SCREW you.

Heck I only wanted $2500.00 trade in for it really!

Only a FOOL will pay that much for it, it is Clean, and was taken care of but it is 10 years old now.
