What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?

Got rid of a 2001 F350 CC diesel and a 2001 Saturn SC-2 and bought my HHR outright and I love my decision to get rid of them. Don't get me wrong I loved my F350 and was sorry to see it go but happy to be getting 28mpg instead of 12....

One for Another....

Had a 2008 gray metallic 2LT. Just traded it in on a newer, nicer 2009 Summit White 2LT with 30K fewer miles and lots more bells and whistles.

The wife informed me the other week that she "settled" for the 2008 because she didn't think to really look for what she wanted. It didn't take long for me to find what she was really hankering for, but it meant making a 4 hr (one way) trip. After a few phone calls and then getting up at 5am yesterday, we came home with Momma's new (to us) car. She is thrilled.... which makes me happy.

New to the forum here. I traded my 2001 BMW 540iA w/ sport package. I know it sounds weird to go from that to this, but the BMW was EXPENSIVE to maintain. $960 for a power steering pump installed! I had a 2009 Cobalt SS Turbo prior and needed more doors so traded for the BMW. Now I'm back w/ an HHR SS Turbo. Love it so far.

Rusted, fuel hungry, dented and ugly old 90 GMC 3/4 ton... that was eminently reliable, and bought from my Dad more than ten years before I sold it.... for a profit. No, it wasn't practical, and I always wanted an HHR.. but I can't say I hated that truck... I would have kept both if it had been less gas thirsty! Love the HHR, however.

i am happy to share i got rid of french renault megane stw, which was quite roomy and to my loss really well pampered. ...cause i had strong prejudices on french which are best as fries in my opinion... sorry to anybody admiring their great car styling in the automotive history.
