General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

What kind of car would you give up your HHR for?

Hard to say yet. Most Opels car Buick in about 2 years after they enter the European market.

GM has been releasing car in Europe and China first to make sure when they are released here the bugs are gone. They are working hard to built a image of quality here.

Note Honda and Toyota have often released their new car in Japan first to a more forgiving crowd to work out the bugs. This is why so many here feel they do little wrong. They do make mistakes but before they get here.

My post was obviously "tongue in cheek". However, Buick has a real problem with the younger generation, based upon who they see driving the car. My sister and her husband drive a Buick which their 30 year old investment banker son refers to as the "Old Faxt's Car". I can't get my wife to even consider a Buick. And truly, when you get behind the average Buick driver, be prepared for a slow ride, either a left hand turn signal 1/4 mile too early, or none at all.

That being said, yes, the new Buicks are excellent looking, trying to compete against Lexus, etc. and I like them a lot. Of course, you've got to have $25 to $40 grand to own one, and that's a ton of money for the younger generation to come up with. Here's hoping this new one will come in at a price point that is in our HHR range.

I still think that GM made a huge mistake not investing in the Pontiac name - one which that same younger generation could relate to. It will be very interesting to see if GM can rein in the under 40 crowd to Buick.

PS - Just checked it out - Average age of the driver of a Buick is: 70

This is a JCW edition, but the S looks like it. I plan on getting a MINI in about 2 years.
Oooh. Now I'm not sure. I'm liking the Ford Fiesta 5-door, too....and the 2011 Mustang V6 with the sport package. Mustang GT-level horsepower with 31 mpg and a usable backseat? What's not to love....hmmm....I don't know what to do.

Not a big Ford fan, but that is a sweet ride.

I'd salivate over a Cruze SS hatchback but unfortunately there aren't an plans of bringing the hatchback model stateside.

I would LOVE to have one of these bad boys with the new 6.2L V8
