Too bad some one broadsided me on the passenger side.
Knowing what I know today I would have installed an LS engine (who cares what size) and been very happy.
No, this is not my car. It's a file photo.

I had a '78 malibu wagon with a 305 v8 and the fake wood grain on the sides. Great car to beat on.

The biggest reason I never want to have to replace my HHR is due to practicality. You can fit damn near anything reasonable in the back with seats flat. I scored an open box Vizio 70 inch TV that fit perfectly fine inside hatch closed, Found a nice Dresser that was being tossed out by a neighbor down the street that fit hatch closed, its great! They dont make a car with that capacity in the same segment anymore. All the hatchbacks and wagons are either too small and short or they are Subarus LOL

The Equinox and Terrain are very similar in size to the HHR .

Unfortunately the Equinox is so damned ugly with that C pillar. But any of the small utes, if you draw an outline of them, are practically the same vehicle.

Are you a salesman ?
Find a car equal to the rear floor space of an HHR and post it.
Thank you.

Gone are the days of one quick look & you knew what the vehicle was instantly. I was born too late..

Once we get in a house with more room for projects and not in an HOA, I'd like to LS swap a Ford Flex.

As far as running cars, a Trailblazer SS or Saab 9-7x Aero would satisfy me.

Cool, I passed on a complete Frame Off resto on a 2000 S-10 extended cab, with a low mile LS Engine & 4L60E trans.. Guy just wouldn't budge on his price.

Guess I still have the urge for 1 more S-10, but with modern LS power. I've only had 2 prior to my HHR Panel.
