Still the same in the country. I moved to the country about two years ago and inconsiderate people are here too. They are the reason I chose to quit carrying my pistol in my car.

It's what we're surrounded with now, people are a product of their environment. "Reality" shows that feature back-stabbing, thoughtless, self centered, lazy, etc jerks. It's funny to them, some of them are probably hoping to get a reaction to what they're doing so they can tape it and put it on a website, instant celebrity with their peers then. My anyway..

I would be inclined to call the corporate office for this place and let them know just what is going on. With all the people out of work these days, I'm sure someone out there would be happy to pay attention to what they are doing on the job. While I realize working in a fish bowl at a station can be quite boring...you are getting paid to perform your job...which apparently this person was not. And to come out hollering and using foul language...I would have said...look lady, all I have is the $20 I gave you and it's not my fault you weren't doing your job. Let's call your boss and see how he would like to resolve it. Unfortunately...she could be the boss too.

I stopped by a local gas station to put a few bucks in the tank. While driving up to the pump, I noticed a very animated conversation taking place at the window…with the customer in question very upset due to the attendant being too busy with a conversation on her cell phone to assist him with the pump. He drove off without purchasing.

Thinking nothing of the previous incident, I walked up to the window, giving the attendant a $20.00 bill and specifically stating I wanted only $20.00 in gas. She did not acknowledge my presence, kept talking on her cell phone and took my money.

I proceeded to pump gas, cleaning out some trash in my car and generally taking care of a few things before the pump stopped. Since I figured the transaction was going along properly, I didn’t take note of the fact that the pump was not set to stop at $20.00, but $40.00 (it stopped at exactly that amount). Note…I expressly asked for only $20.00 in gas.

It wasn’t until said rude attendant came storming out of the booth, demanding $20.00 that I figured out I’d pumped too much. Now, I wouldn’t be irritated if it were my carelessness and an attempt on my part to steal gas. But it was clearly not MY carelessness at work here. I purposely asked for only $20.00 in gas and got $40.00. Fortunately, I had the extra $20.00 in my pocket. What would have happened had I not been $20.00 richer? And why is it that this attendant couldn’t be bothered with validating customers with, at the very least a thank you, until there was an apparent mistake (on her part) that brought her storming out of the booth with foul language?

I just wonder sometimes...what's wrong with people today?

Maybe you should have whipped out your cell phone and ignored her. Let her rant and rave all the time you are pretending to talk to someone. Give her a taste of her own medicine.

Lightbulb more interesting information

Interestingly, I did in fact fire off an email to BJ's corporate office and got a reply:

We sincerely apologize for the experience you have reported with a BJ'S Team Member. We have escalated your feedback to the Club General Manager to investigate and resolve the issue to your satisfaction. We will contact you as soon as the investigation is completed. We apologize for any frustration this experience may have caused. We are dedicated to your satisfaction and are working to prevent this from occurring again.
The gas station I mentioned above just so happened to be the BJ's gas station associated with the store where I got the ding. I mentioned both incidents in the letter! Hopefully I'll get some sort of satisfaction out of this one...that would be great.

I had only had my HHR 3 days when a white Saturn Vue parked next to me and dinged by passenger door. When I walked out of the store and saw how the Vue was parked (very crooked in large space), I just knew I'd been hit. Sure enough. I waited more than 20 minutes for the driver to return, but no luck. I left a very ::cough:: carefully worded note on the car. Then went over and stepped in a puddle, then very carefully placed a wet, dirty footprint in the middle of her door window. Didn't fix my car, but made me feel a bit better.

NOT ADMITTING THIS IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO......

About 15 years ago I had a "trick one-of-a kind" El Camino. Almost everything added to that car was custom or hand made.....to a total invested dollar of $31,000. On one of the very rare occassions, I drove it to the local grocery and parked in the boonies.....and I mean in the far end of the lot with nothing near. Went in the store and returned to find some "snow birds" motor home parked next to the passenger side. For some reason, I walked around to that side and noticed a nice little dent and scratch (on a $4000 custom paint job) that matched his paint color and door path. I was really hot and waited about 30 minutes for the jerk to show up. Never did.

So I kicked in his drivers door....probably about $300-$400 in damage. Figured that was about what my repair would be. As I said...it's not right. But it did offer some justice ON MY PART.

If this sounds familar and resembles something that happened to you, give me a call. We will settle up .

EDIT....Oh I forgot to mention...I left a note on his windshield explaining EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. If you still have the note....great confirmation.
