Has nothing to do with the recall. And a good link is posted among the 26 pages or so in the thread related to the recalls.

Thread merged.

Almost a double post.

Recalls

Just a curoisty question. Has anyone on the forum or anyone you know had the ignition key turn off or their power steering fail? These are the two items subject to the redcall. Just wondering-----

RECALL!!!!!
Am I gonna die tomorrow?
Why was I not informed?
What's it all about, what will be done?
When will it be done?
Why wasn't it done yesterday?
Why won't anybody help me with my fears?

Oh, never mind, I just saw the FIRST PAGE OF THIS 26 PAGE THREAD and it explained everything.

In order to remove the need to shoot my Moderators with tranquilizer darts...again.

We're going to close this thread, for a day or two.

To new and old members alike, please take 4-5 minutes to read this from the beginning, the answers you seek will be there.

But, if there are still questions you might have, please PM me or one of our Mods here. We'll do our best to answer your question, or provide you with a link to where you can find it.

And don't forget the Search Function at the top of the page, it's linked to Google and we spent a ton of time making sure it works like it should.

OK, folks have calmed down a bit, so I'm reopening this thread.

Please keep things on topic, read before posting, and let's keep things civil and mature please.

I'll post, finally got mine back. Had the rental for 29 days, 2014 Equinox are garbage, and it works just fine and I got 2 new keys in the process. Thanks GM, good luck with all the lawsuits.

Just received a recall notice for my 2008 LS ignition switch. Letter stated I would receive another letter when repair parts are available; then I can call for appointment for covered repairs. Will wait and see. Good day everyone, thanks again. Rettch
