Recall Notice

Anyone received one yet? With 181,000 or so, I'm just curious how long it's going to take to get thes sent out, our babies repaired, and back on the road.

Yeah I knew there were other threads out there about this, I was just asking if anyone has received a notice yet.

Notices will not go out until enough parts are produced and sent to the dealerships. Maybe by the end of this month.

Has anyone gotten a letter yet and done it? I would love to see a picture of how it comes out.

Cobalts had a similar recall. Here are the pictures. I believe the HHR recall will be close to the same. As of today no parts or information have been sent to the dealers.

Interim production repair performed at the Factory. I do not know if the HHR's will get the same repair before being shipped.

Engergy absorbing pad prep before install.

Installed.

Is that all there is? Pardon my ignorance, but not my curiosity.....by looks alone, I don't see how that can improve safety compared to w/o the modification. Definitely a minimalist approach at a lowest cost possible. Almost doesn't even seem the time spent to go to the dealer for.

My other concern is with the amount of headliner noise issues reported on this site Will this recall make it worse? I for one have not had the rattle issue and don't want to start having one. Maybe better defensive driving is called for.

Not intended as a slam on dealers...Thanks ChevyMgr for the info
