Took my recall paperwork to the dealership today for our 2006 and 2010. They recorded the VINs and advised they will call when they get parts. No offer for loaner vehicles, but did not expect them to. Still feeling the love for our HHRs!

Evidently, you have to declare you are "afeared" to get the automatic loaner.

There will be no charge on the recall repair work.

The reimbursement form should be for the owners that had the repair done BEFORE the recall was issued and had to pay for it then.
GM will now repay those owners that had to pay out of pocket.
Fireman that is correct as the recall is free and the form is only for those who had the work done before the recall.

Just in case anyone wants to see GM's follow up letter to the recall notices that were sent out. Here's a copy of mine.
Has some info that covers a lot of the "what to do's" and also a phone #.

Just like the one I got for the 2008 that was crushed for scrap 18 months ago.
Still patiently waiting for the 2011 notice.

One thing that I found was that the recall notice triggered my County to bill me for Personal Property tax for a long dead car.

Donbrew. You don't need to wait call your nearest dealer and get your parts ordered you don't need a letter. I work for a Chevy dealer and I havent gotten my letter eather. I did just get my car though.

Got my letter and notice of recall for my 2011. Funny thing is that the letter says to call the local dealer and give them the VIN number to get parts on order. The dealer says nope - gotta have the vehicle come in in order to gets parts on order. Left hand right hand syndrome? FYI, to date I have had no problems with the ign and have 51,000 miles on her.

I have letter #1 & # 2, & my local Dealer called me today also, stating they wanted to order parts for mine..

Can't confirm when they may get them tho.. But I'm in no hurry, no issues.

They said I will keep my OE Keys & fobs & they can cut the key cylinder to match my keys..

I have read of another being told the Dealer would re-key the ign & the door..
