why no recall on hhr 2011 pwr string pump

good day to all. been following all the recalls and would like to know the difference between the power steering pump from 2009to 2011. i owned a 2009 new traded up to 2011 and personally can't see the physical difference between the 2 units.so why no recall on the 2011. were these the units that were all japenese made? would some one in the know please exsplainto this old grumster whose name should have been curious BILL. thanking you in advance.

He means "motor", not pump.

I'm kind of light on string theory, but maybe it's because the universe is really shrinking and it started in 2009.

Just throwing this out there as a possibility as I have no definitive answer. But the EPS motor issues were most likely known about prior to 2011 models coming out so it is possible that they already came with the new version.

Looks wise the original problem EPS motor looked identical to the new version that I installed that fixed my 2007 LS.

I think that it all started at a 500 watt radio station in Fresno Cal. .... no that was why Ted Baxter was a TV news anchor, Oh I know most of the EPS motors were replaced by 2010 and the 2011\s got the new and improved part#, that's my theory as opposed to E = MC 2
