My 08 auto with sunroof was stickered a little over $25K. I don't understand where the $28K price is coming from. And I got mine with incentives and discounts for about $22K. It's been the best $22K car investment I've made.

New goodies and inflation.

We have one silver SS left. I can get it for $22,275 with employee pricing and rebates.

I prefer used...let someone else eat the depreciation. Some call it being cheap, I prefer fiscally-saavy.

I don't buy new any more

Not since the kids got into college and I paid for all of it (no student loans, my parents paid for me, an only child, so I passed it on) and for cars for each of the 3 of them! However, everyone else please keep buying new ones so there are plenty of used for me to buy later...LOL

Mine in 08 was sticker over $27K.

Auto trannys are $1,000 alone in 08.

Ours was 28,725 with all available options, even custom HHR mats throughout and in cargo area. Pioneer system etc. 4000 cash back from GM and 2000 down. We did well with no trade in IMO. We LOVE Ruby!

2009 SS Panel with auto, slide-out cargo tray, rear compartment partition, RPD, big audio stuff, but no roof racks or sun roof: MSRP - $29K. Cash for Clunkers, GM credit, plus employee pricing goes to net with over the f'ing top CA tax: $22K. One check and on the road. Then there's the Stage 1 upgrade; see my other posts.
