Now maybe I bumped my head, but I think the LSD will only lock up with output from the engine and not spinning the wheels on jack stands. If you have a LSD in a rear axle it's a given they spin the same way, but since this is FWD the wheels need some compliance in turning corners and only require the LSD in launching or high torque conditions. My old RWD LSD in use to lock and chirp around corners because the inner wheel was turning less than the outer. If both wheels were locked all the time in on FWD you would be fighting torque steer in every corner. I can tell mines locking when I wind it out because the torque steer wants to toss the whole rig into a ditch, like my RWD unit did. Not the case in typical driving conditions...

Maybe you missed my post, but I had mine up in the air, and when you rotate one wheel, the other goes the same direction. I think that was his original question.

If you guys get some ice or snow down there, a quick check is to get one front tire on the ice, one on dry, then try to take off at a good pace(traction control off). That will tell you pretty quick if its got LSD. If you don't take traction control off, it will apply brakes on the spinning tire, forcing the other tire to help out, kinda an electronic LSD, but for low traction surfaces only, not drag racing.
