I waited a week for the bypass valve. Finally I just told the dealer to rip it off a solstice GXP on the dealer's lot.

I have a 5 speed and the bearing puked, the transmission is not a factor. I was told the turbo was a Borg Warner.

Great news! I am glad you are back in business.

So the question is, who made this turbo? I swear that I read it was a Bosch twin-scroll somewhere online in a review before I bought the car... I have to look for that article now!

See my post #20. I have all the infor there on who and where they are made.

Borg Warner and Garrett are both owned by Honeywell. The Honeywell Borg Warners are OE Turbo's on most road cars and the Garret systems are all aftermarkert and racing. Same company under Honeywell just two different names to market them under.

Honeywell owns Bendix, Prestone Autolite, Fram and many other automotive suppliers. THey also are into controls and aerospace pretty heavy.

Anyway Honeywell makes almost all the turbo's diesel and gas for OE cars and industrial equipment.

As a side note, my pops retired from Honeywell. He was an aerospace engineer with Grumman for many years, and finished out his career at Honeywell. Too bad I can't get a discount
