Is the lower TMAP installed correctly? Most installers never read the directions; they are supposed to cut the tab off so that the sensor can be installed backward so the wires don't hit the AC.
Since this is the sensor involved it would make sense to look before you spend $$$. And the fact that the codes indicate wires not sensors.

Late response but I've finally changed out both sensors and checked the wiring on both plug n play connectors even disconnected the battery still to no prevail. Old lower sensor did not have the tab cut new one does, and the issue prevails if not slightly worse

Since you have GMTU that means the splices may be bad or the lower TMAP did not get rotatyed and it is banging into the AC compressor.

Somebody messed with your steering column that didn't know what they were doing. It needs to be calibrated.
How about those splices? Were they OK?

How is there a steering position sensor on an SS? It was hydraulic, not EPS... I am now confused.

Why do you think it's hydraulic?

He said plug and play, not spliced.

Only thing I've really noticed is before the sensor change the "barometer" in the car wasn't reading and it did work for about 10 minutes after the sensor change and now back to flatline

Because it is an SS. The SS has a hydraulic steering gear, and NOT Electric Power Steering (EPS).

So, why would there be a code for Steering Position if it does not have EPS? I work with EPS daily in warranty.

What he said doesn't make sense.

Huh ?
All HHR's have EPS. Including the SS. It's just a different electric steering motor for the SS. That's why the SS's weren't included in the "good will" lifetime EPS warranty. The EPS motor in the SS was/isn't prone to failure like the regular HHR.

The baro reading comes from the TMAP, So we are looking for crossed wires or bad connections. That is a bit of data that the ECM uses to compute boost.

You might have mentioned that before.

So I could possibly just have a bad plug and play connector. Anyone have any leads on replacements? I've already contacted zzp to see if they would separate the wires from their stage one kit. And that was a big negative. And I'd hate to fork out the money for the wires and new sensors having just bought new sensors

Got eyes and a VOM? The solution is not ALWAYS replace parts. It really doesn't take rocket science to test continuity and look at pins in a plug.

I just woke up, don't mean to sound mean.
