Canadian HHR SS wanters - my SS will need to find a new home

Howdy,

Well, I ordered an HHR SS 5-speed a few months back.
It's been sitting at the dealership now for over a month.

Why? Well, because the damn lease on my HHR LT won't BREAK!

We thought because my lease deal on the LT was so good it'd be gone by now. Well, no... it's not. Probably because it's a standard and there are too many used cars on the market up here. I don't know, but that's my guess.

I have until the end of this month to make a decision on the SS, but it looks like nothing is going to happen soon with my lease, so I thought I'd let folks here know there is a brand spanking new one sitting at the dealership waiting for a home in case my mid-life crisis dream falls through.

Details:

HHR SS, Victory red
5 speed manual
Sunroof
Top stereo (single CD) with 260W Pioneer stereo package
Red/black seats with sport seat
On Star (standard now in Ontario)

It's sitting up at Schluters in Waterloo, ON - undriven.

Michele is my saleswoman. If you are interested, please let her know I sent you there.

I do have until the end of this month, but time's ticking away. If you are interested, please let us know.

Side note: If anyone in Ontario wants to take over my HHR LT (Orange 5-speed), let me know that as well... Sheesh... $312 a month after taxes with a $8900 buyout after 3 years!

I see that you're listed on lease busters. Yeah, the 35 months remaining on the lease and the fact that it's a 5 speed problably does not help you. Payments would be decent for the right buyer though... Maybe you could post the link here?

That's the whole gotcha with leasing: you're stuck with it. I can't lease myself because I put too much mileage on, but we used to do it for my wife's car. That's until last year when they where getting rid of the last few IONs: the monthly difference between buying & leasing was something like $25. We bought, with full knowledge that the car is going to be worth ziltch after 5 years, but we have a dependable car with low low payments.

Good luck !

Good Luck With Everything! I've Never Leased Anything Except For Apartments. I Would Never Lease A Vehicle. Rather Buy & Call It My Own.
