Carbon buildup and issue for our 2.0?

I just read an interesting article about carbon buildup on the intake vavles in older DI motors. After reading the article I was worried about the notable performance loss that seems to be associated with occurance.

Link to article: http://www.autoobserver.com/2011/06/...-adopters.html

Is there any information on how the GM 2.0 DI LNF has performed overtime and if the carbon buildup is an issue for this engine?

Any information is much appreciated.

My ss hit 40k and found this out right after I change my oil. I am going to seafoam the ss when next oil change comes up. From what I heard from this forum and cobaltss.net since fuel doesn't hit the intake valve it does build carbon. Search it you well find what lookin for.
