HHR SS intermediate steering shaft
Had problem w/steering not recovering from slow turn. Local backyard mech. nailed it as soon as i told him and showed me. A shot of lube a test ride...yup that was it. Told me most throw parts at it, so if you have this problem this is it. Next, does anyone know where i can purchase a GM one. I have gotten 2- return refunds from online GM vendors who confirmed online IN STOCK but upon ordering "not in stock". GEEEZ what a ride..bout ready to fab one with a "real" steering joint. any help would be appreciated.

Well Summit ordered me one could take 3 weeks though. Chevy dealer not quite sure one of those "dig one up somewhere" deals and almost double the price. When I do get it out you watch me fab a replacement joint that will last lots longer. Done a a lot of old school suspension setups that were great can"t see this one being all that hard. I'll for sure post if it is an easy swap to fab a new one. thks for the help all

I was thinking a hotrod set up when mine went, nobody had metric sized yokes , I though reuse my existing yokes with new crosses and cups, nobody had those either, so I bought the GM part and that was that.

found a place to find the Intermediate shaft and great customer service on top!! Progressive Chevrolet 8000 Hills & Dales NW., Massillon, OH 444646 Phone: (330) 833-8564 Once we called we had the part the next day!!!! They were super aggressive in getting the order out the door and to me. GM#25943354 $242.96 to my door. I will be calling them from now on for anything i need for this ODD BALL car. After I replace I will be working on a simple replacement U-Joint on the old one looks simple to me, I'll follow up with a alternative U Joint project.. Now find someone to put the timing chain on this thing and i'll be off the hook for awhile.
