how do we get them to hook up

If you want to help traction, make a set of bars for the rear that replaces the rear shocks...at lot of the traction problems come in because the weight shifts on launch to the rear thus allowing the front to spin tooo easy. It only takes a few minutes to replace the shocks at the track and if your a regular Im sure you could rig up a system where the stock shocks stay on and you use a quick release pin to install/remove the solid bars next to the shocks with minor modification. And if you make them adjustable you can probably preload the front slightly to assist launch. If you check out the local dirt track shops you'll find link bars with heim joints that will adapt right nice , and add maybe 2.5 lbs max which is nothing compared to the weight of the spare you'll be taking out.
Can also use air bags but this tends to jack the rear up too much but great for towing.
