wonder how much this system costs?
i am sure it isnt cheap

like to see it w temps over 100 and alot would depend on the intake system you had
alot of variables

Check out the site i think it is around 700 bucks for the installed system, aparently it is custom made for your car, the one i saw was a prototype i think. an living in florida i looked into it for cooler temps/air density

I like the idea of compressing the air after it is chilled, or compressing the air then chilling it. In this way, you store the chilled air, then turn off the AC when you run. Also, you get more cooling from the expansion of the compressed air. It would take some R&D to see what size compressor/tank would be ideal, taking weight into account. Still, 30* is impressive.

It's a simple application, but I believe it only provides about a 40 degree reduction in temperature.....maybe enough for something like the CGS that uses the engine compartment air.
I did some research on using a string of Peltier coolers for the liquid intercooler on my GTO. The limitation becomes the current draw from the electrical system. If you stipulate a 50 Amp load, if I recall correctly the cooling available would fall in the range of 1000 BTU. Temperature deltas, of course, depend on heat exchange rates for a given BTU capacity.
