Intresting intake solution
Check out the site i think it is around 700 bucks for the installed system, aparently it is custom made for your car, the one i saw was a prototype i think. an living in florida i looked into it for cooler temps/air density
I like the idea of compressing the air after it is chilled, or compressing the air then chilling it. In this way, you store the chilled air, then turn off the AC when you run. Also, you get more cooling from the expansion of the compressed air. It would take some R&D to see what size compressor/tank would be ideal, taking weight into account. Still, 30* is impressive.
I knew a guy that utilized a Pelteir Effect cooling sysytem on the intake of his diesel truck. He didn't claim a lot of HP gain but did say it provided enough "boost" to help pulling his trailer trailer in AZ mountains.
It's a simple application, but I believe it only provides about a 40 degree reduction in temperature.....maybe enough for something like the CGS that uses the engine compartment air.
