Koni Struts
What's the advantage of the Pedders setup with Konis versus just putting the Konis on the stock uprights?
Ira
Biggest difference is damping adjustment
Daily driving I run fronts as is, rears 2 turns firmer
Canyon carving or day on track I run front two clicks firmer and rear 4 turns
Another benefit is lowering center of mass for vehicle
The variant 2 works just fine but I'll run pedder coilovers before kw just because pedder developed theirs specifically for HHR SS why kw used the old Lsj cobalt for developement
koni shocks
I installed the adjustable Koni's only on the rear as the rear suspension is way too soft, I got tired of it squatting on takeoff and that mushy feeling when driving. I ended up adjusting them almost all the way firm. It really sticks to the road now and got rid of the sloppy feeling. Now the fronts feel soft, may change soon. The only thing I don't like about them is you have to disconnect them, and push them all the way in and turn to adjust as these are not struts, just shocks next to the spring. BTW, I want to lower it about 1" front and 1.5" rear- any suggestions? i am not spending $1700 for the pedders setup- although its probably awesome, I just cant justify the cost.
