MAP Sensor Upgrade
#12
Your best bet would be to purchase your 3 bar MAP sensors from a vendor and then have it tuned remotely.
GM Stage 1 Sensors - Electronics
Only "true" GM Stage 1Tune needs to be performed at the dealer. As others have said, the SS is getting old and it might not be easy finding a dealer to do it. I know mine wouldn't...
This is something that can be programmed using HP tuners. If you know a remote tuner, the instructions for setting the sensors up correctly is on the same page.

Do you plan on doing any engine mods? If you do the sensors and an hp tune are the way to go. If not you can get a Superchips Cortex 2950 that you can install a canned tune . There are some other canned tunes out there also.

Ya I've called around to the local Chevys and they have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about. But I have a full exhaust, charge pipping, bov, bov delete plate, and an intercooler all coming from Hahn. Then I want to get a down pipe from them. After all that is installed I'll probably just go with a tune from a local guy that familiar with hhr and cobalts

You can do your own tuning HP Tuners - Electronics

Hahn has a tune. Hahn Racecraft - Turbo Upgrades and Parts

For what you're doing, it would be worth it for you to learn and tune with HPT. For 900 bucks what you're getting is an "interface" to program with. That's only as good as the BSR engineers allow. Not sure what it's got access to
With HPT you have the community and forums to help you out. Not only that, it's cheaper!
-my 2 cents

Welcome to the site.
There is no smaller pulley with a turbo. That would be used with a supercharged engine.
Getting a GM dealer to install the stage kit and doing the required program update is kind of hit and miss nowadays.

Hey Steve, judging by the above comment. You've got some learning to do! As Doc said, no pulleys on turbos. That's a supercharger mod. There's lots you can do to pep up that buggy though.
I will advise against seeking out a GM Stage 1 Tune. Simply because there are cheaper and better tunes out there now. You can purchase the 3 bar MAP sensors from a vendor. And either tune yourself, or get someone to remote tune you.
I'll try and link up a few good reads for ya.
