No Brakes!!
Actually savello, your service advisor does not think it is normal.Chevy has seen the problem and addressed that issue with a service bullitin for a fix. If that reprogram doesn't fix your car, I would take it back and let them know. Mi car does this every morning and will get in to program soon.
Oh by the way. when i saw the line of cars i told the service adviser that i would bring it back later and he said "I cant let you leave with the car if there is a known braking problem for insurance reasons" so to all out there who have the same issue let it be known that chevy DOES NOT think it is normal and it is considered dangerous.
Took it in this morning for the second time and the dealer was very apologetic and gave me a rental HHR and said they would let me know when it will be done. when i dropped mine off i saw a red SS sitting in the service bay, I asked what it was in for and he said the same thing mine was. So I get a call about 2pm from my adviser and he said they have been on the phone with GM all morning for both cars and there is "No Fix but GM is aware of the problem and looking for a solution" so he says they cannot release the car and they will give me a call on monday to let me know what my options are...
First off, I absolute love my HHR SS. But I have been ignoring this no brakes issue. I just figured to use the remote started and let it idle for a couple of minutes before backing out of my driveway. But this thread and the halt of 2009 orders has me wondering. I will be visiting the dealer tomorrow to set up an appointment. Hope this is no big deal I can't imagine driving any other car.
