Problems with the SS
I'm in the same boat, my expected replacement turbo should arrive Aug 20th from overseas.
I'm personally worried about parts for the SS's. Mine needed the fuse block replaced because of a bent pin in manufacturing, and it took 2 weeks for the part from the States into Canada. I was stuck with an Impala rental...
Are SS parts harder to source???

Most of the time was waiting for parts. It needed a turbo actuator and there were none in the country. It took about two weeks to get the part and they sent an entire turbo unit just for the actuator. When the actuator didn't fix it, GM told them to replace the turbo. Replacing the turbo didn't fix it either. They finally replaced the lower pipe from the intercooler to the intake(several times) and that fixed it. A couple of the new pipes that they received had holes in them. Get the number for GM customer service from your dealer and start a case number with them. They can help expedite the parts.
same problem i had a little over a year ago. i tiold them they would have to pull a pipe from one off the lot or give me a cobalt ss/tc!!! my car had that problem from the day i picked it up!!! if you don't do any upgrades,i highly suggest a piping kit from one of the vendors on the site.
One The GM Chapter 11 has made some parts on all GM cars a little slow in coming in since some vendors were charging COD. This should be clearing up and parts availability should get back to normal soon,
Two The part you neeed is the same one my dealer needed. It has no part number at this time and thows dealers an curve in trying to order these. Hard to order a part with no number in a system that requires numbers.
Three I assume being in Canada just slowed it down even more on top of the no part number issue.
In the future parts should not be an issue and things should improve. It is not just a HHR thing.
