From what I have read someone on the cobaltss.net try to install the rpd and couldn't do it unless he replace the wiring harness along with the bcm. To tell ya the truth its alot to do put rpd into car without it.

RobSSTurbo,

The SS the RPD is being pulled from is an 09'
The SS I want to install the RPD into is an 09'

The harnesses should be the same? no?

Ok!
I found this thread just by doing a quick search. I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed... but I still feel optimistic? I'm not sure yet haha.

Anybody else have some input?

Since all of the 2010 HHR SS's came with the RPD, maybe, just maybe, the main wiring harness in the cabin of the 09's is the same.
You could look up the part number for the 09, and 10' wiring harness and see if they're the same.
As far as just plugging in and working. ????

firemangeorge,

Yeah I've figured out that the RPD is not going to be a "Plug & Play" deal.
Why on earth would GM make something that would make life simple, right?
