question on stereo
Okay - so I confirmed that the SS I'm buying does not have XM radio. I currently have a XM receiver in my GP that I feed into a cassette deck in the stock stereo. I run the small magnetic antenna to the rear of the car, and power the XM receiver from a power point.
I could renew my existing XM subscription, keep my XM receiver, and tie it into the Aux port of the stock SS radio. But I'd again have to run the magnetic antenna somewhere in the SS to get reception. Unless there is some way to patch into the stock head unit, which in turn should be wired to the XM antenna. Any thoughts on how to do that?

I like the system. My GMC 2500 and my wife's Acadia had Bose and they are hard to beat. The Pioneer system isnt terrible, but could use some more bump. Lifting the shelf is a trick idea which I will do today for laughs. I have a couple RF 10's that will do the trick too. All and All I have had way worse.
how good it sounds is relative to what you feel is good sound. my speakers in my sunfire cost more then the entire upgraded package offered in the hhr's to me the systsem for a stock system is ok but not great by any means. it all depends on what youve heard in the past really.
fading the sytem to the rear won't improve the bass, it just lowers the highs and mids. your not gaining bass, your losing music.
