What's the average MPG you all get on HHR? Does it require premium gas?

It does not REQUIRE premium, but it is suggested. I run about 60% in town and 40% hwy and avg 30 mpg in the summer, but since it got cold and we have had all of this snow, I have only been getting about 28 MPG. I have seen 33 mpg on long hwy trips, but you've got to keep it at 70 MPH or less.

Our HHR is used as a commuter car. We use unlead in it and still get 30 to 33 mpg in it. I did take a road trip in it and got 28 mpg BUT I drive too fast 85 to 90 mph.

The only time we get mileage in the 28 range is when I drive.

Get the HHR SS unless you are going to get a V8 Camaro. V6 + muscle car = stupid.

Guys don't under estimate the V6

We are talking the same Direct injection DOHC V6 as in the CTS Caddy.

It will have 304 HP will be as fast as the old Z and may be as fast or nearly as fast as the HHR SS.

When gas prices go up for a daily driver it will be the option many will go for. Gas will not stay under $2 forever.

So untill you have driven one or spoke to some that has don't pre judge it as you going to be suprised how good that package really is.

We are not getting the p;d 3800 or 2.8 type of V6 here.

I love V8's too but the new package is finally acceptable option.

The new Cobalt SS would same many of the past SS.
