Steering position sensor

Pretty sure the traction control light is the key to this, that would be the wheel bearing hub speed sensors unplugged or loose, possibly a bent pin. This could be the problem.

Unless the car has been in a collision, you don't need to replace the sway bar. It doesn't have boots. There are bushings that should be replaced as needed.

The grinding starter is a separate problem from sway bar, steering, or brakes.

Try http://Car-part.com for used parts.
