I'll throw my 2 cents in here, while I'm at it.
I've autocrossed[Goodguys-small course] a few times and tried it in all the modes. Traction control off, in launch mode, works the best.
If you want some major drama[major wheelspin-major front end push-and slower times turn the ESC off, and you will definately have a hand full[not to mention your shorts]. Does not like ESC off on a autocross course, or wet road. I have Trifecta tune and TTR engine mount, and I don't get much torque steer, and what little I get is easy to deal with. Just stab and steer. FWD you just point and shoot. "Moon"

My comments were made regarding normal daily driving. Situations like you turn onto a busy road from a stop sign and would like to accelerate aggressively. I noticed when I do that, the tires start slipping and the traction control and ESC want to engage and "drive" the car every which way but straight when the system is on. Off, the car behaves better and I have the control to point it in the right direction in the same situation.

Now, I also found out the the stock Michelin Pilot tires (summer) may have contributed to the problem. They seem to be hard and have poor traction in this type of condition (from 0 mph). They seem to "bite" intermittently causing the systems to engage and make it go every which way. I just put new Nitto Nt 850 A/S (a little softer) on this morning and everything seems a lot better with or without systems on; straight line traction, situations like above, and general ride quality. Haven't got to take any higher speed curves yet but they should do that well also.

I think I will enjoy driving even more. Just need to find even more power now!!

Ask Vince at Trifecta, he will fix that. Installed mine yesterday believe me with the new tune on it's a whole new animal. The difference between stock, and stg1 was big with the auto 55hp. Trifecta, way bigger even on top of the stg1. With the auto transmission you reprogram that too, which might help more than the added power. Moon the bigger tires are working well.

The OE Pilots are some of the worst tires I have ever had on a car. They are rock hard and have little traction dry and none wet.

I noticed the first winter when I installed the Goodyear Triple Treds that they were better grip wise than the so called performance tire. I will be glad to lose the Pilots once I wear them out. I will install a good set of Eagles and do away with the lack of traction the Pilots provide.

I have a set of SS wheels, with 760's on them ready for summer stg1 couldnt break them loose. These g-max are the best tire yet nice ride. So I'm all stocked up on tires. I think you are right going to need them.
