Vehicle Ramp angle for a Stock Height SS

A friend of mine has a set of vehicle ramps that I was able to drive my stock height '08 SS straight onto in order to get it up high enough to get a floor jack under the front end. I wanted to buy a set of those same ramps for myself but they are no longer made. I looked up the specs on those ramps and apparently, the angle of incline is 16 degrees. I'm looking at the ramps in the stores now and the specs say their angle of incline is 17 degrees. I can't seem to find a 16 degree ramp anywhere. I know 1 degree is not much but as I recall, the front clip/air dam darn near interfered with the ramp before the tires got to the ramp. I'm worried that the extra degree of angle will be too much and that the front clip/air dam will hit the ramp before the tires touch it and start climbing the ramp.

Can anybody here verify that a 17 degree pitch vehicle ramp will work with a stock height SS?

You're not jacking under the radiator support, are you?

No, of course not. I jack the front end up on the center part of the subframe or whatever you call it aft of the engine and transmission. It's plenty strong there to jack the front end up on.

A couple or three stacked pieces of 2x6 or 2x8 will probably get you up high enough for a jack. I have some Rhino ramps and I just put some 2x6 in front of them to get the car started up the ramp.

A search for corvette ramps came up with lots, here's one company: https://www.raceramps.com/
Though on second look, those are a bit pricy.

I've been using stacked boards to get the car up high enough to get my floor jack underneath it but just being able to drive straight onto a pair of ramps was so much easier and convenient. I found a pair of the 16 degree ramps I was wanting on a local classified ad site so the question of whether or not 17 degree ramps would also work may be moot although I'd still be curious to know. I suppose if I get the 16 degree ramps I could pull the car up to them and do a little measuring and trig to figure out if the 17 degree ramps would work without having to drive up on a 2 x 6 before getting onto the ramp.

I have a set of race ramps that I bought for my Charger. They work well for my SS. But as pointed out, they are pricey.

The problem I had with the low profile jack is it doesn't lift high enough, even with 2 hockey pucks on the lift point.

These look like the wish list, only $580. Black Widow Hydraulic Car Lift with Ramp | Discount Ramps
Or these, $45, same vendor. Other options available.

I skew the low end of the ramps outward so that the car starts going up the edge of the ramp but ends up on the center once it reaches the top. This keeps it from hitting the splitter. No disasters so far.
