Hi all,

I've been surfing around here since we bought our White 07 LT a couple of weeks ago. I followed CourtHouseDebs guide and installed the Radio controls. I had the same problem with the Harnes only on the Cruise control side. I just matched up the color of the wires and hard spliced it in. Everything works great. The look and drive of the HHR is just too cool........Had the stealer fix my armrest also from the info I found here. Thanks to everyone, this forum is one of my daily surfs...............Thanks, B-52

to the forum B-52. Glad my instructions were helpful and you got everything hooked up. Look forward to getting to know more about you and your HHR and seeing you around the forum.

For those who are new to this thread...my instructions with a little humor added are on post #33.

Just received my parts today! It took about a week for GMPartsDirect to change the status to shipped, and then it was another 4 or 5 days, but I'm pretty pleased with that ship time given that some of you had to wait quite a bit longer. Before I had the parts, I was reading this thread and was pretty nervous about everyone saying they just cut the old harness. I was thinking "What a bunch of pansies. Surely a little patience and dexterity can win out". I popped the horn cover today and examined the situation for about 5 minutes before unclipping things. Call me a [expletive] pansy. The time and effort needed to work that wire out isn't worth the $8-$10 you'd need to replace it. And the only reason I could think of that you'd ever need it again is if you were going back to stock for some absurd reason. Sorry I doubted you guys. This mod rocks. Next Up: subs and amp. I've been doing my homework and I think the wife will be allowing me to make some purchases around father's day.

Hello,
Just a word about this forum. I've been a "silent member" for several weeks, just reading the threads, kickin' ideas around. This one finally got me going to do this slight mod on my "Toy". Thanks for the info, and be "talking" with ya'.

Oh, by the way, the install was as easy as you said!

Cool 07 Bezel

Hello,
I have an 07 with Ebony interior. After reading this long thread. I found out that the 06 and 07 Bezels and switches are differnt p/n`s.

The dealer had no problem ordering the switch. The bezel p/n 15281577
did not break in his computer. Only when he went to the actual detail figue of the 07 steering wheel did we see the 1577 number. Next to it said 07 Metalic silver (Cruise) ? but it was clearly on the right side. He made a phone call and said "Its a good number, but its not released yet" I said "Can I get it? He then said "Sure. I just need a correct vin# that has this to order it against. I cant use yours because yours didnt come with it"
Has something to do with building up stock.
So I went on the lot found a 2LT with Ebony cloth interior and steering wheel volume control. Gave him that copied Vin# and Woolalaa...parts orderd.
When the parts come in I`ll let you know if its correct.

Cheers !
Craig~
