I love the idea of this mod. I just purchased an 08 Panel LT with only 9000 miles. I've looked at many different parts houses and none list the harness as being available. Does anyone know a good source? PS... I love the HHR!!

 

I gotta do this. If this is all it takes, why didn't they just do it to all the vehicles? The switch is the only real difference. The original steering wheel wiring harness and cover likely cost the same as the new ones. Why even bother to stock both? Just make it standard equipment.

 

Still something I would like to consider doing...

 

what year HHR are we talking about. I would like to do this to my 2099 1LT.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the HHR will be around in 2099.

 

As far as I know, it's possible in any year HHR, even future ones!

Thanks to this thread it was not a tough mod. Just getting the right parts was tough. The harness on both the cruise and radio sides had to be swapped around on my 08 LT but that info was supplied here on a great forum. Thanks to all that helped!

 

Any body know the part number the 2010 wiring harness? seems to be the only part i cant find.
