Unfortunately today most parts are made in China,, Some good some bad! Try and buy Genuine Harley parts in the Harley shop and read where they are made! China, Cambodia etc. But they do have the Genuine label on them :O ... My 2 cents is buy from a reliable vender who hopefully buys from a reliable source!

My curiosity was up on some of the answers here so I did a online search on the hubs, I saw Timken at 115$ US + and brands down to 50$ each US. Is there really a big difference? A 50+ $ difference is a lot! But when the time comes for me I want the best

GREAT thread.. Thanks

Put it this way: At $50 you can replace it 3 times and still be ahead of the (over) $300 GM dealer part.

Blue I don't mind spending the extra 100 on the Timkens if there better, rather change once then 3 time lol, But GM at 300$ WOW.. I'm a tad over 30k now, so I think I picked up a set over winter just in case.. Ill have them checked when I do the Winter tire change over cause I know you Canadian people are going to send my a lot of snow again

just found out at my good auto shop that he only orders Timken parts (to different makes and models). the regular stuff is just not good and he does not want to change bearings too soon for unhappy customers- and then it takes weeks to order them again from States to here in northern Europe. Timkens has best quality according to him. And I believe.

...thats the reason those are a bit more expensive than "no-manufacturer-origin-stated"-bearings...

just update... the pontiac G6 bearings really DOES NOT fit hhr- unlike some vendors have on their site.
It was priceless moment to hold in hand old worn bearing and new pontiac G6 bearing. size difference is like half INCH in diameter... picture in my profile
